The Orthodox Christian Education Network (OCEN) is dedicated to advancing Orthodox education, offering resources and support to families and educators alike. Our mission is to cultivate a strong foundation in the Orthodox faith for our youth, empowering them to thrive in their spiritual journeys.
OUR VISION
The Orthodox Christian Education Network (OCEN) is a ministry dedicated to advancing Christ-centered education rooted in the timeless truth and beauty of the Orthodox Christian faith. We believe that education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge, but the formation of the whole person in the likeness of Christ: mind, body, and soul.
Guided by Holy Scripture (“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” — Proverbs 22:6) and the rich educational tradition of the Church Fathers, OCEN exists to support families, schools, and communities in providing an education that integrates academic excellence with spiritual formation, liturgical life, and the cultivation of virtue.

Strengthen and expand Orthodox Christian educational initiatives, including schools, homeschool co-ops, and classical Christian programs grounded in the Orthodox Tradition.

Foster collaboration among Orthodox educators, clergy, parents, and parishes to build a vibrant network of learning communities.
Whether through Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) that make tuition assistance possible or Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) that empower families with greater choice and flexibility, OCEN removes barriers so that more children can receive an education imbued with the Gospel and the wisdom of the Orthodox Church.
